Professional & Ethical Practice
At North Pine Massage, we are committed to providing safe, therapeutic, and professional massage services in the comfort of your home and place of business. Every session is conducted according to the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and client care.
Massage therapy is provided solely for therapeutic and wellness purposes. Any inappropriate behavior, comments, requests, or conduct of a sexual nature will result in the immediate termination of the session. The full session fee will still apply, and future appointments will not be accepted.
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service at any time if our team feels safety, professionalism, or ethical standards are being compromised.
Appointment Requirements
To ensure the best experience:
- Please provide a clean, quiet, and smoke-free space large enough to accommodate a massage table.
- Pets should be secured during the session whenever possible.
- Clients should be fully showered or reasonably clean before their appointment.
- Please complete any required health forms before your scheduled appointment.
Arrival & Set-Up
We typically arrive approximately 10–15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for setup.
Please ensure the treatment area is ready upon arrival. If significant delays reduce the available treatment time, the session may need to be shortened to remain on schedule. The full appointment fee will still apply.
Health & Safety
Please notify us before your appointment if:
- You have a fever, cold, flu, COVID-19 symptoms, or another contagious illness.
- You have experienced any recent injuries, surgeries, or changes in your health.
- You are pregnant or have any medical conditions that may affect massage treatment.
Massage therapy may be postponed if it is not safe or appropriate to proceed.
Massage therapy is intended to support overall wellness and is not a substitute for medical care. Our therapists do not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medications, or provide medical treatment. Clients are encouraged to consult with their physician or other qualified healthcare provider regarding any medical concerns or conditions.
Draping & Client Privacy
Professional draping is used during every massage session. Clients will remain appropriately covered with a sheet or blanket at all times, with only the area being treated exposed. Draping is used to protect your privacy, maintain your comfort, and uphold the highest standards of professional massage therapy.
Cancellation Policy
- Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you.
- Appointments canceled with less than 12 hours' notice will be charged 100% of the scheduled service fee.
- This policy also applies to missed appointments ("no-shows") or if we are unable to perform the massage because the client is unavailable at the scheduled time.
- If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 12 hours' notice whenever possible.
- Exceptions may be made for genuine emergencies or severe weather at the therapist's discretion.
Payment
- Payment is due at the time services are rendered, unless paid for in advance online.
- We accept cash or card on-site.
- Returned payments or unpaid balances must be resolved before future appointments can be booked.
Respectful Environment
A professional, respectful environment is expected from both the therapist and client.
North Pine Massage maintains a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, inappropriate language, intoxication, illegal drug use, or any behavior that compromises the safety or integrity of the session.
If a session is terminated due to inappropriate behavior, no refunds will be issued, and future appointments will be declined.
Right to Refuse Service
North Pine Massage reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service for reasons including, but not limited to:
- Inappropriate or unethical behavior
- Unsafe working conditions
- Intoxication or impairment
- Unsanitary conditions
- Medical conditions that make massage unsafe
- Failure to comply with these policies
Acceptance of Policies
